Arab Region | Absence of corruption, Rule of Law Index (Arab countries, 2015–2020)

The factor considers three forms of corruption: bribery, improper influence by public or private interests, and misappropriation of public funds or other resources. These three forms of corruption are examined with respect to government officers in the executive branch, the judiciary, the military, police, and the legislature. This is a Composite Index (i.e. aggregating multiple sources). The 'Absence of Corruption' factor aggregates 4 sub-factors: The extent to which government officials in the 1) Executive Branch; 2) Judicial Branch; 3) Police and Military; 4) Legislative Branch do not use public office for private gain.
