After the arrival of Syrian revolutionary armed factions in Damascus and the overthrow of ousted President Bashar al-Assad, it was announced on Monday, December 9, 2024, that Mohammed Al-Bashir, the head of the Syrian Salvation Government which had governed Idlib for years was appointed to form a new Syrian caretaker government until March 2025. Since then, a series of announcements have been made regarding the appointment of new ministers, political officials, and security personnel in Syria’s new administration.
