The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) was officially established on November 21, 2014, through an alliance between the Movement for a Democratic Society (TEV-DEM) and various political parties, tribes, and civil groups. As part of this governance framework, the Kurdish National Unity Parties alliance was announced on May 18, 2020, led by the Democratic Union Party (PYD) and comprising over 25 parties. This alliance plays a key role in the Democratic Self-Administration project. The graph illustrates the structure of AANES, highlighting its key components and governance system.
