Sweden's Net Bilateral Aid Contributions to Tunisia

Net bilateral aid flows from DAC donors are the financial assistance provided by certain countries to other countries for development purposes. This aid includes both loans and grants, with loans having lower interest rates and grants not requiring repayment. It is intended to improve economic growth and welfare in specific countries. The list of aid recipients changed in 2005. DAC members providing this aid include Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the European Commission. Recipients mainly include the more advanced countries of Central and Eastern Europe, the countries of the former Soviet Union, and certain advanced developing countries and territories. The data cover all assistance provided, not just to specific countries. The figure shows Sweden's aid to Tunisia over 10 years (2001-2011), calculated in US dollars.
