Egypt has experienced political and economic fluctuations over the past two decades, creating a transformative impact on the state's structure, institutions, and the relationship between the government and its citizens. These fluctuations have influenced various aspects of public life and its details.
Tracking these changes and their impact on people's lives can be achieved through numerous indicators and figures, with three indicators selected to provide a general overview of the state's authority, the legal system, and political stability in Egypt.

The Rule of Law indicator intervenes in any political and social system, measuring the law's ability to regulate life and its accessibility and respect by the population. It is organically linked to the country's political and economic performance. Annually issued by the World Bank, this indicator reflects the extent of trust and mutual respect between the government and the population. It also practically indicates crime rates and violence based on the accessibility and reliability of the law. This indicator is measured between two upper and lower points, 2.25 and -2.25, respectively.
In Egypt, the Rule of Law indicator has fluctuated relatively close values over the past 26 years, maintaining levels below zero. The lowest point reached -0.73 in 2013, while it continues to oscillate in recent years, also staying below zero.
